環球網報道 據美聯社9月16日報道，美政府高官透露，總統奧巴馬將於17日就中國汽車產品出口補貼向世貿組織提起訴訟。報道認為，大選臨近，奧巴馬此舉系為回擊共和黨總統候選人羅姆尼有關他“對中國太軟弱”的指責。數名美國官員表示，奧巴馬將在出訪俄亥俄州拉選票時宣佈上述決定，此舉旨在針對中國對汽車及汽車產品出口的補貼政策。美國認為中國“非法”補貼汽車產品，令美國制造商處於劣勢，並加劇外商將汽車產品外包到中國生產的趨勢。今年7月，美國曾就中國向進口的美國汽車征稅30億美元提起訴訟。俄亥俄州是美國的大型工業重地。當地不少人將美國工業萎靡怪罪到中國頭上。同時，該州還是總統候選人們必爭的搖擺州，無論對奧巴馬或是羅姆尼來說，爭取該州選民的選票都至關重要。10月大選臨近，兩黨總統候選人的廝殺異常激烈。盡管中國曾發出警告，但奧巴馬和羅姆尼的選戰還是經常牽涉中國。羅姆尼指責奧巴馬對中國“軟弱”，損害瞭美國工人的利益。奧巴馬則回擊指責羅姆尼在中國有投資，將就業輸出到中國。報道指出，官方數據顯示，美國汽車業的就業率在2001年至2010年下降明顯。同時，美國從中國的汽車部件進口卻增加瞭7倍之多。
